Popular Post Orbx
Established in 1921, Essendon Airport is Australia's second oldest international airport after Sydney and marks its centenary this year. Now known as Essendon Fields Airport, it plays a very important role in the aviation sector for Victoria and hosts a large mix of non-aviation related businesses. It is also the home to the Headquarters for Orbx, which was featured in our Microsoft Partnership video. Originally called St Johns Airfield and then Essendon Aerodrome, the airport played an important role in Australia’s growing civil aviation industry as well as defence operations during WWII. As passenger services grew, Essendon was Melbourne’s international airport from 1950 until 1970 when the present-day Melbourne International Airport opened in the neighbouring suburb of Tullamarine. Essendon Airport now operates as a general aviation facility and hosts regular passenger transport to regional locations, private charters and tourist flights, emergency services, training and private aircraft. Since 2001, extensive property development has occurred to revitalise the airport and create a vibrant commercial hub. Come and have a look inside the terminal, right into Orbx's office! We are proud and excited to formally introduce you to our Essendon Fields Airport, coming first to Microsoft Flight Simulator and then P3D v4+ and X-Plane 11. Releasing this weekend! Customers with YMEN Essendon v1 for FSX/P3D will be eligible for a 20% discount to upgrade to this completely new version of YMEN Essendon Airport.

John Heaton
During Flight training at Moorabbin - we used Essendon for "Primary Control Zone" - training entrance and Exit - including a landing and ground control. The new Tullarmarine airport was a no no. I just looked into my logbook and coincidence - coincidence - I did my first landing at Essendon Sept 2nd 1972 - and 49 years later - I remember it well

Seanmo
I am a huge fan of modelled interiors, and I love what you have done her, including that shiny hallway in the 4th picture above. But just once I'd like to see people that reflect the times and wear masks. Anyway great job. It looks fantastic! 1 1

flsm (Frank)
Nice for my home town of Melbourne. I got my Recreational Pilot License at Tyabb along with X-country Endorsement, and then went to Moorabbin for CTA Endorsement which required some flights into Avalon and Essendon. I pop in to the pilot shop at Essendon every now and then - next time I might pop in and annoy the Orbx staff! Cheers.
TigerTigerM
Obviously a labor of love by the Orbx team due to its significance in the Company's history. Nicely executed. I discern a couple of trends - a sharper focus on store front signage, ( a la Bromma), & continued development of interiors. Shot 3 is intriguing. I wonder if the rest rooms are modelled? greybeard
This release appears to have really shaken the Melbourne community, but c'mon a 6 magnitude earthquake is a bit over the top don't you think? To all my friends across the ditch do hope you are all safe and damage to your homes is minimal Kevin

Don Hi Don, yes I think that they were all very lucky, fingers crossed for the after shocks. I have a daughter, grandkids and great grandkids at Port Stephens and they are more worried about this nasty virus that seems to have a mind of its own. Dr Smith
A definite purchase from me.....if you can fit in YMMB (I work near the Naked Racer) with all the commercial construction that seems to change every month and of course YMML then I would be happier than a pig in the proverbial.
