Rodger Pettichord
Hi all. When I was about ten years old, my dad sat me down and told me that we Pettichord men had a code we had lived by for generations. It was "Honesty, integrity, hard work." It was part of my heritage and should be part of my own legacy. I took it seriously then and throughout my life. Worked well. And that leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What code has guided you through life? [NOTE: next week's topic will be supplied by paulb. It's a good one, so be sure to check in.] 4

gumbypickett
My father always said. There is a place for everything and everything has it's place. Don't know what the heck he was talking about, so long as I knew where my beer was. cheers Gumby 1

Ken Q
Can't beat (most) of the codes mentioned above, but I'll add this: Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Ken 3 1

wain71
taught my kids the important of politeness, you know -please, thank you, sorry (hard one at times)....and for us Brits loss the stiff upper lip, if you need help ask and it's okay to be upset......also try and see the bigger picture and don't forget to have some fun in life as you are a long time dead.... taught my girls the 7 P's- prior planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance, they've turned in to very independent woman... 5
renault
Take time to understand another's perspective, before you try to give them yours Don't ever stop believing in your dreams regardless of how old you become We're all imperfect - cut others some slack when they need it. 3

Pukcip
Don’t knock what you haven’t tried and, success is in cans, not can’ts (which is really cheesy but I’ve found myself saying it to my boys :o ). 2
