Too easy to Cheat - just read the poster - " A port like Alice" with apologies to Neville Shute"

That was indeed too easy, I just saw it after uploading. Do you want to add a new one or should I try?

Though I do not get the clue, I would think of YMMB Moorabbin?

You are correct of course - the tiny clue was to zoom in on the blue sign over the

Royal Victoria Flying Club Office - my Alma Marta  - for my PPL 50 years ago

I could not zoom in that much to read the tiny hint, but the tower was significant enough. Though Gold Coast is quite comparable...

Here is my next one. With a big hint on it - you can´t alwys hide them when taxiiang along.

If that's freeware - it's very good - but not much of a clue - since all my airports are Orbx

Yes there are many FDS bases  - but this looks so posh - it might be Charleville - but then again

it might be Cloncurry ??

Uhm, we're still at Gerold's airfield. Launceston?

Fully correct, Ben. If you like you may continue here...

Friday Harbor?

... unless Graeme is faster? I don´t mind, as long as the beautiful pictures continue (and as long the Orbx portfolio is big enough...).

This is quite possibly the most amazing thread ever on these forums... wow.

I am trying to think of any Orbx fields that I've been to - grew up near many and have driven right past at least a dozen of them... but actually having visited them... hmmm.  Probably just KMRY I guess.  Took a few lessons there at Navy Flying Club on the north ramp.  But sadly, no photos to prove it (it was back in 1988), just amazing memories.

Wait - San Diego!! In 1987 I actually took a flight that originated and terminated at Orbx airports!  KSAN - KMRY!  well, no maybe I changed planes at LAX.... getting old, guys!

And YMML Melbin… I did get down that way once.  Another amazing memory - driving on the other side of the road for a week, that was worth the ticket alone.

normally a busy runway in the first week of March

That really sounds like Avalon, so...

Yours is Avalon BTW.

Unfortunately the quest from Ben is still unsolved...

May I just throw ESSA Arlanda in the discussion?

Is it now Gerold's turn again or may I throw one in?

Great thread BTW.

... but my post will probably be easy enough for a quick solution.

Looks definitely like Brisbane when I compare it to my own photo a few months back :)

You got it Brian. It was indeed taken from the same holding point that you visited. When have you been there?

And, more important, are you in a position to post another quest?

Thank Gerold, I arrived there on December 26th last year.

Ah, I have been there much earlier, end of September. So no close miss...

Here is another one from last year (maybe too easy:-)

A fantastic picture of CAC8 Nanaimo, I guess?
