miloguy Posted March 20, 2014 Share Posted March 20, 2014 G'day all !!first off I want to say how much I have been greatly appreciating every oneshelp and support for the last few months , since my fathers passing over Christmasand now getting back into fsx, finding my sweet spot on my pc as they say and for allyour help you guys have been giving me! I thought I'd create hopefully a fun post to see where every one is from on this big wide world! I'll start by saying that I am from Nowra NSW Australia , about 3 hours south of Sydney!That's by car! .. Spent almost 40 years in the Candaian Army living in different parts of Canda and Europe. Retired almost 9 years now and teach canoeing and guide wilderness canoe trips in the warmer weather and fly FSX the rest of the time. Nearest airports Ottawa Macdonald - Cartier International, CYOW and Carp CYRP, Rockcliffe Airport, CYOR and finally Gatineau Airport CYND. Still enjoy traveling all over the world. I've lived in and around Burlington my whole life (except perhaps when I lived temporarily in Punta Gorda, Florida, for about five weeks, when my dad worked as a FEMA contractor). As a native, I may be biased, but I love living in North Carolina. And the Wright brothers made all our lives a little more interesting during their stay here. Grew up in Essex England, went to school in Chelmsford (and Bishops Stortford), had a girlfriend in Southend (she's still there), worked in London, lived in Chatham in Kent, learned to skydive at Headcorn! Moved to New Zealand and settled Hamilton (NZHN and NZTE closest) in '96 and have been here ever since. Mother's side of the family are kiwis (the people, not the bird) and so easy to get a NZ citizenship and passport. No intention of ever leaving. My current wife is an Aussie, who lived in Lake Conjola several hours south of Sydney so I passed through Nowra (by road) several times when we were courting. She grew up in/around Sydney / Richmond. We've got some family living there who's home was broken into not too long ago. Now living in Ohio. Did any of you know that out of all the states in the US, Ohio has the worst air pollution? Winter are to long, we just broke a 20 years record, the coldest winter and so far it feel like the longest. Spent 4years in UK where I met my wife in Brighton and dragged her back here. Settled in beautiful Tweed Heads on the Queensland NewSouthWales border which is fun in summer as we have two time zones Love our house right under the final approach to Gold Coast Airport.
