Musketeer Posted April 21, 2018 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Nice shots Jack. Meigs is special of course in that it was the original default startup airport for Flight Simulator. Although it's only the last 3 years that I more seriously got into flight sims, I did mess around over the years going all the way back to the commodore 64 as a little kid. So when I finally got to Chicago in real life around 10 years ago it was really disappointing to see the airport had closed down For a bit of contrast to your magnificent shots, I thought I would share two shots from my flight out of Meigs recently. A couple of weeks ago I discovered a c64 emulator on PC and thought I would fire up the original FS I played as a little kid. We've come a long way since then... Back in the 80’s I was in the Air Force, had an Atari 800 and flew the earliest version and thought it was state of the art. I never thought it would be as good as it is now.
