Rodger Pettichord Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Hi all. The Tim Tam/Penguin Vegemite/Marmite threads elsewhere are so much fun that I hesitate to interrupt. But tradition is tradition, so, in the spirit of Tim Tam, here goes. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Whose tea makes for the best cuppa? 1. Lipton 2. Taylors 3. Tetley 4. Twinings 5. Yorkshire 6. Other
W2DR Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 It really doesn't matter to me. I drink my tea along with equal parts of lemonade and Kentucky bourbon and the tea all tastes the same.

gumbypickett Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Well I prefer coffee to tea. But if I had to choose I would go with Tetley, as I believe it's an all rounder. Oh I don't know. cheers Gumby

Texas Sweet Tea for me : https://www.texasmonthly.com/food/how-to-brew-sweet-tea/ Most of my family is from Texas and we drank sweet tea all the time when I was a kid. It's really good stuff and even better if you add a little bourbon .

flyingleaf Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 ( Tea?) At least 50/50 Rum or Whiskey will make any of that stuff taste OK.

John York Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 We only ever drink 'Miles Tea'. Their blending factory is within a couple of miles (no pun intended) from us and they have a large Warehouse in our same little town. Their tea comes from up in the hills of India but I don't think they own any of the plantations.
wain71 Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Mine would be Other, that's because I am a coffee nut with no sugar, however if I came to your house and had tea with 2 sugars that would be because your coffee is not good...
boetie Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Other. Dilma extra strong tea bags but I enjoy any cuppa as long as it's not weak. Used to have it with sugar as a kid but my Mum weaned me off sugar and havn't been able to stomach sweet tea for forty years. It will always get brewed when my Mum, siblings and I get together, tea is like a tradition. The beer and wine will normally follow if it turns into a long session Cheers Graeme
Ken Q Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Other. While I greatly enjoy the occasional cup of tea, I'm more of a coffee drinker. My wife, on the other hand, is the tea drinker. Her favorite: Scottish Breakfast Tea from a local tea merchant called "The Clippers Ship Tea Company.". While we are both great fans of Sir Tommy Lipton the yachtsman, we find his tea too acid for our aging stomachs. Ken
Rob Abernathy Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 6. Other Beans not leaves for me too. Besides once I found out tea was just camellia bush I lost interest. (Have to admit a cup of sun brewed Lipton's is pretty good on occasion)
