Jack Sawyer
Unreal. If they hit that prop, cancel Christmas. Something I'd never ever do but love to watch. These guys really know what they're doing.
Doc_Z
I wonder how fast the Porter was going? Into a headwind it's possible to literally stop an aircraft or even go backwards (I've done it).
Rodger Pettichord
This is one of those accomplishments that makes a person marvel at how far we human beings will go just to have fun. Amazing! Applause (from down here on the ground).

teecee
It really is a great piece of video isn't it? the bit that got me was when he slammed into the aircraft and fell, then went back and tried again..

The speeds of the flyers and of the aircraft relative to the air are shown in the video. Groundspeed doesn't matter, the headwind effects the wingsuit flyers in the same way as it effects the aircraft. They just have to have the same speed relative to the wind. scottb613
Hi Folks, A friendly piece of advice - if you ever do try skydiving and the guys at the drop zone tell you to smile for the camera on the way down - - - don't... They got my wife and that video has been locked away ever since... Regards, Scott
Ken Terry
Incredible isn't it! These two guys have done so many "1st" like that, they really specialise in doing things people can't imagine They were doing it in honour of one of the sports greatest pioneers and legends, Patrick De Gayadon, who was killed 20 years ago to the day. https://youtu.be/oUR8ZpYCRt0

KVSandleben
Pah, James Bond did that ages ago. All joking aside, wingsuit jumping is a sport for reckless idiots. The fatality rates clearly show that. And if GoPro's and smartphones didn't exist, no one would ever think of doing it.

When I was young and good-looking (now only good-looking) I jumped out of a Cessna with a parachute, but now at my age.........just thinking about it makes me sweat all over my body ;-) Fred
