Stillwater
Here we have 34°C today. So I went virtually out to Yakutat, which looks a bit cooler on this summer day. Good that there is no Fly-and-MosquitoFlow over Alsek River. And the glacier with the same name looks like a welcomed refreshment. Directly afterwards we cross Grand Pacific Glacier. The peak to our right is Mt. Fairweather. Indeed, it looks fair here. Descending over Takhin Glacier... ... and over Haines... ... into the Skagway channel... ... and into the namegiving village. Seanmo
You think THAT'S hot. Try the 47.7 Celsius I enjoyed this week in Phoenix. And, according to local news, it wasn't even our high for the week...

Those guys are so big the have landing gears and landing lights. T-Bone and Hilda eat them they swear it keeps them from wrinkling up. Yeah right, I do beers. I heard the same, John. But the beer & BBQ supply is unsufficient! 14 hours ago, Seanmo said: You think THAT'S hot. Try the 47.7 Celsius I enjoyed this week in Phoenix. And, according to local news, it wasn't even our high for the week... 47.7 sounds impressive, but it is always the product with air humidity that makes it horrible. 45°C in Alice Springs is a pleasure compared to 31°C in Orlando... 13 hours ago, BradB said: Looks like Phoenix really is baking at 1053 F .......... Indeed. These guys really seen to be in trouble. Or they develop a new species of life forms, from out of earth... 11 hours ago, flyingleaf said: Do a lotta icy cold beers. Yeah right, I do beers. That is what I expected when flying over this scenery. I mean the biological part of it. I did not know about the diet of the Mule Team crew, but that also explains a lot . On the other hand I am quite sure you have realized some improvements in the meantime. And the memories of your world trip are much better in every case, I am sure. Enjoy the fresh air! 2 hours ago, adambar said: I would rather sit out in the middle of Death Valley and sweat my a@@ off with a chest full of cold beer than look at snow, just sayin'. And I prefer "fog" as a reason for flight grounding compared to "pandemia".
