Misha Cajic Posted June 23, 2015 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Hi all, I am very proud to introduce my latest project, KSTS Sonoma County Regional Airport for FSX/P3Dv2, in Northern California. This has been a 9 month project and by far the most intensive thus far, with hundreds upon hundreds of models in both the airport and surrounding area. Features include: - Over 250km sq of annotated and modelled photoreal terrain to explore. - Incredibly crisp 7cm resolution at airport, 30/60cm in surroundings. - A FULL Santa Rosa cityscape modelled, with many local landmarks, and a fully custom modelled town centre. - Covers KSTS, Windsor, Santa Rosa, Mt St Helena, and a vast area in between - Advanced AO baking techniques for realistic shadowing - Custom Vegetation at airport. - Internal modelling of terminal and restaurant. - Suitable for the Q400 and airline operations. Also, I am going to venture to say that this is the most realistic shot I have ever seen in FSX. Just incredible. This is an old google maps picture of the same area. Just a technical note: If you have static models of an EC-135, Bell 407 or Agusta A109C - place those at the REACH hanger. We don't own a Bell 206. If you need information about REACH, let me know! And none of us own hangars full of million dollar airplanes. That's the fun of simulation, it doesn't have to be 100% authentic. Virtual REACH can own a Bell 206. I'd like to get this but don't want the NorCal region. I'd actually buy a lot more ORBX airports if they could be guaranteed compatible as stand alone with use of just Global.
