I left Bathurst in the morning...

... to reach the Great Dividing Range only a few minutes later.

It just takes about 15 minutes to reach the Hunter Valley - ...

... do you see the blue balloon just next to Cessnock´s runway?

Here you can see it better, though surrounded by reflections.

In the evening I went on, after tasting the products that are made from these rape fields.

A golf course with an airport. Very useful for a short flight.

Maitland, just some miles north of Cessnock.

Here I follow the Hunter river on his way to the Pacific...

Slightly south Belmont comes into view...

Excellent flight, Gerold, but you should have gone for the beach :) You know the old saying: no guts, no glory.

Btw I had a hard time spotting the bloody baloon :D:D

Next time I´ll take the sandy track, Bernd...!

It´s easier to spot when you are in motion...

Great shots and flight Gerold enjoyed your comments.  And it took me awhile but I did spot the balloon.

Thanks John. I think the balloons are there only in the morning hours...

I am confused, Karl: The is no Hilda and no lady in red in this post. Or do you talk about the balloon >:D?

I spotted it right away B).  Nice flight Gerold, and I'm with Bernd, I would have went for the beach because of those tires.

Mr. Sharp eyes... ok, ok, the beach would really have been a good choice, especially with that plane. Forgive me, I just wanted to visit all these discount-purchases!

I visited a vineyard that made its own wine and cheese close to the airport many years ago, very tasty it was too.

It's effects must still be lingering after all those years as I didn't see the balloon either, I was looking too close to the ground.

Another wonderful post Gerold, I am enjoying both Jacks and your trips around down under.:)

Quite a trip Gerold in that great little Legacy from Realair.  Never have tried products from rape fields but have, on occasion, tried some from grape fields (vineyards in places):P .

Thanks OnD. You even found my typo - maybe I just had too much of that stuff :D!

Thank you Martyn. From the ground and after wine tasting they should be invisible... plus I think they only get up in the morning breeze (which means a lot of wine consumed while waiting the whole night).

Thank you Laurie. I´ll keep my eyes open during the next flights, maybe there are some more around?
