A bright star

Vega is the 5th brightest star.

I brought the new Vega from Wing 42 yesterday but due to a few problems I didn't get it going until this morning.

1.JAEV1Z5.jpg

Here it is sitting at Weed surrounded by all it's paraphernalia.

2.OvokJxD.jpg

The nicely done cabin.

3.YLeIpAm.jpg

Mount Shasta with Mount Shasta Black Butte.

4.DFNDXyf.jpg

Following Interstate 5 at Paradise Craggy.

5.OtSOn03.jpg

Along the Klamath River for a short distance.

6.IceCXvP.jpg

Now at Ashland with S03 Sumner Parker Airport.

7.4NasJK0.jpg

After passing Talent we come to Medford on the Bear Creek and KMFR Rogue Valley International. We are now in Oregan.

8.s4oahUB.jpg

Looking across towards Mount Isabelle.

9.3VyZsce.jpg

Leaving the small town of Hugo behind.

10.KrCPRTV.jpg

Now at Myrtle Creek and getting ready to land.

11.a5tcGeQ.jpg

Too high and fast so as the wind is light we will try from the other end.

12.YmwvjC6.jpg

Elevation problems at 16S and the worst landing I have done since the last one.

Much more practise is needed as that was awful.

Anyway a very likeable plane with heaps of extras such as maintenance.

Many thanks to Wing42 for giving quick and excellent support in resolving a small issue

That was a great tour Martyn!  Loved seeing Mt. Shasta again, and I've been to Klamath Falls when I lived in Idaho.  I was flying in this same area in the sim just the other day too, super nice isn't it?  And your narrative is always second to none as it makes the flight really come alive.

Great shots Martyn! An interesting new airplane! :)

What is it like flying a brick? ;):D

Cheers Paul, I like these old planes, oh actually I like most planes!

I find it does take a lot more concentration but what would I know.

I have read that in RL one pilot described is as being something like a boulder falling off a cliff when landing which has made me feel a lot better about my first few attempts.

Super shots Martyn.  Looks like it was a fun flight!!!!!  I had a Vega in FSX but lost it when my hard drive crashed, I think I will check this one out.

Thanks John, this is a great old plane and on a special price at the moment.:)

Thank you Jack that must be a fantastic area to see in RL.

I do know I have thoroughly enjoyed flying there in the sim.

Cheers for liking my narrative too, greatly appreciated.:)
