If I remember correctly Orbx and Squamish's developer Gordon Madison have not parted on amicable terms. So Orbx might have to do this scenery from scratch.

answered EDDT missing NAV data
wolfko replied to TFisch's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
It is likely that the EDDT default navaids and mavdata had been removed by one of MSFS' monthly AirNav updates. As bad this is for owners of Gayas EDDT, it is a indication that the default MSFS navdata are kept as good and real as it gets. So I think Gaya should releasse a navaid patch for EDDT. -
Happy Birthday Jack! My appologies fo being a bit late to the party and I do hope that your situation improves. Wolfgang

active Issue with EGHI Southampton
wolfko replied to jetset's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
Maybe this is one of those known issues where the system can't cope with the speed of the aircraft. This happend at many more complex airports. Do some testing in a slow plane like the C152 or the Cub and the issue is probably gone. Or lower your settings. -
No ground services at LOWI
wolfko replied to Max Mosley's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
No ground services is not quite correct. Fuel truck, power supply and push back are available at LOWI.- 3 replies

Of course, because only when you are logged in, it can be detected where you are based and the sales tax added accordingly. -
John, maybe your birthday is the right time to ask you something I am curious about now for quite a while. Why is your nickname BradB when your real name is John?

A very Happy Birthday John and lots of presents.

Ah, I see. Thank you Michael!

I had another MSFS update yesterday, about 600 MBs. As per the description the content was a part of what was already included in the Nordics upgrade. Any ideas, what this might have been?

active OMG now this is what the fuss was all about

I concur with all posts above. Weather, especially the live weather function with its jaw dropping weather changes, is one of the best features of MSFS. -
active KVNY 16R Glideslope incorrect with Orbx KVNY
wolfko replied to Kurt V's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
Uhm, I am not sure if I understand you correctly. But according to your instruments, on the first shot you are are slightly above the glideslope and on the the second one you are slightly below. Also the altimeter indicates different hights. So IMO all seems to be correct. -
resolved Minor issue with new KVNY windsock
wolfko replied to Kurt V's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
Do you really demand Matteo should first work on a patch (i. e. option to disable WS) and than on the fix for this issue? I think he should better skip the patch and go working on the fix straight away. -
noted ESGG ILS offset since SU4
wolfko replied to BobbyFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
I have dumped Navigraph already a couple of years ago, when it screwed up things for me within XP11. Anyway, IMO there is no need to use Navigraph in MSFS where nav data are updated every month to the latest cycle by NavBlue.for free. -

Continue, of course continue! Although I habe never postet in this series I am an avid reader of it and it gave many enjoyable hours and lots of laughs. -
Sorry, but looking up freqs. is proper pilot procedure. Every real world pilot has to do this, no matter if his aircraft is able to autotune ILS frequencies or not. And also even in real world, an ILS freq. can fail to be autotuned due to various reasons. So I would suggest to see your issue as an addition of reality until Orbx or MS/Asobo has fixed it. And I cannot understand the fuss made only because autotuning of an ILS freq. is does not work. As if this was sooo important. Tuning of frequencies is part of the game and makes fun. Sorry I couldn't resist.

And Now For Something Completely Different - Vegemite
wolfko replied to wolfko's topic in The Neil Hill Memorial Lounge
Do you kmow the song "Down Under" by Men At Work? This is the 2nd verse of this song: "Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot four and full of muscle I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich." -

If my memory serves me well, in the last MS/Asobo Q&A session on YouTube a world update for Italy was shown to be due in autumn 2021. I assume this would be #7. But that's easy to check on YouTube. -
Beside Tim Tams Vegemite is another another iconic Australian staple food. It's Similar to Marmite but not quite the same. I had my first encounter with Vegemite during my first visit to Australia more than 30 years ago. There were those little plastic packages of Vegemite on the breakfast table in our hotel in Palm Cove north of Cairns. Since I have always been a big fan of Nutella and all sorts of chocolate/nut spreads I put it richly onto my breakfast toast and took a hearty bite... I than avoided any contact with this fine Australian food for many years. Only after I had met my Australian wife she showed me how to eat it properly and it is a must have on my breakfas table since then. But it is quite expensive here in Europe and not easy to get. So it is a good thing to have friends and relatives Down Under, who will mail us a jar of Vegemite every now and then.
