What do you mean? Are ground vehicles not displayed or they will they just not service when you call them? -

Yes, this is a well known problem, but the OP says this issue does not exist with the default CPT scenery. So it looks like the Orbx add on triggers the issue in this area. Maybe Orbx could have a look what might be the trigger and eliminate it. -
active MSFS2020 "INSERT DISC 1 PROBLEM
wolfko replied to cirta's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
Creating a virtual drive solved this problem for me. I'm using the DVD version. -
Photoreal sceneries like TE need an enormous amount of data storage space, whareas the MSFS streaming concept needs almost nil storage space.

MSFS is not only about scenery. Lighting, weather engine (not even well known FSX/P3d/XP weather add ons come close to MSFS weather and its depiction), clouds, vegetation, buildings, nav data (no use for me gor Navigraph any more) are far superior in MSFS than in all the other sims. And with the advent of more and more highly detailed add on aircraft in MSFS (wich offers BTW quite a few stunningly realistic default aircraft) it will be difficult for the other sims to keep up. By saying that, it is not my intension to start a this sim vs that sim discussion. Every sim has its advantages for specific users.

If a developer fixes something which had been broken by an Asobo update, you can be pretty sure that the next Asobo update will break the developer's fix again. The past has shown that best practice for fixing issues caused by an Asobo update is just waiting for the next Asobo update which usually fixes those broken things again. -
Not being able to get past the splash screen or starting a flight has nothing to do with how powerful your GPU and CPU. There must be something wrong with your MSFS installation or internet connection IMO.

Here it is quite the opposite. On my mid range system I get much better and smoother performance in MSFS than I had with P3d and XP. And all this with much higher graphic and simulation settings withinin MSFS than in the two other sims.

A short note on Win10 Power Management ... Some oddities
wolfko replied to renault's topic in Hardware and Tech Talk
Yes, it's the same with my network privacy settings. They are always reverting back from public to private with every windows update. And I usually forget about this and wonder, why I cannot connect to the xbox store in order to download an MSFS update, for which the privacy settings have to be set to public. Really annoying. -
resolved Run as Administrator !
wolfko replied to mikee's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum
No problems here to start MSFS as admin. The reason for some not being able to do so might be the windows update, which I had about the same date as the last MSFS update. Already the second or third time Windows and MSFS updates came hand in hand. -
resolved Warranty Question For Orbx Sceneries Please
wolfko replied to Aharon's topic in General Discussion
@Aharon I don't know how laws are in Israel, but here in the EU every customer, who buys software online has to be granted a 14 days money pay back guarantee. -
You have to be patient. A work of quality takes time to be developed.

Maybe I am wrong, but as I understand it, the Orbx method has much less impact on performance, actually almost nil impact. And performance is the holy grail for most flight simmers.
