  1. Similar statemenrs I have also read from other developers. So from a developer's point of view MSFS must be paradise. But not only for developers, it is also paradise for me.
  2. After Landon's post about the hill I was completely on the wrong track, assuming it might be Walter Sutton's. But due to Greg's post about the logs I knew I was wrong.
  3. Come on Landon, don't be so shy. Is this the hill which is modelled so superbly photorealistically well in the Orbx product?
  4. Found it. Google is you friend. I just entered "Mains Street". Landon is right, it is Concrete. This is a Google Maps Streetview shot of the fire brigade building.
  5. Good to see that you are doing well Macca!
  6. BTW, how is @macca22au doing? I hope, he is alright. He hasn't visited the forums since August.
  7. By looking at that black car, me thinks it must have been in a dusty area.
  8. @Jon Clarke @kutak In my installation of Orbx LOWI the LOC is offset as it should be. Edit: No, sorry, it is offset to the wrong heading. Rwy heading is 259°, LOC should be 255°, in the sim the LOC heading is approx 263°.
  9. As per the Google Maps screenshot below, 4,567.59 ft is the length of the entire runway. The southeastern pasrt of the runway has only a length 2,492.48 ft.
  10. Unfortunately I have no pics left to post. Yeah, the hint with the "promise of a well known developer" brought me on the track. But I still have not figured out, why "the answer was staring in the face". Can you please enlighten me Bernie?
  11. Perth? "...The answer is actually staring you in the face...."?????????????
  12. When I was in Melbourne about 30 years ago, the told us a story, that once the crew of a very large aircraft had mistaken YMEN for YMEL and landed in Essendon by error. The aircraft was too large to be brought out of Essendon in one piece again. Does anybody have more detailed info about this story?
  13. No, it is definitely not too easy. My only clue is, the airport is in Australia.
