True Earth GB South and XP 11.

Just a few shots of my first flight :)

Taking off from Cardiff Airport, to the south is Porthkerry Viaduct

Congratulations with the new sim and the beautiful scenery, Paul,

It must be a joy to recognize so many familiar things in this well known area for you.

I hope you will have hours and hours of fun with this new sim.

Happy Flying !!

Many thanks Fred,

Well I could not resist the True Earth scenery for the UK. Especially as it covers South Wales :)

I also thought that X-Plane might be better than P3Dv4 for photo scenery.

So here I am! :D

Good for you Paul!  XP sure has some beautiful scenery and as mentioned it must be really cool to see where you live in so much detail.  All very good shots!

Thank you kindly Jack :). Well I was determined not to buy x-plane, but after seeing the shots of True Earth GB - my resolve folded! :o:D

XP  is actually quite nice, with very different visuals to P3Dv4.

Hey Paul. One by one we let go and move into the new programs. Glad you are enjoying your new environment. Sure looks real!

Indeed it does look pretty real Rodger.

P3Dv4 will remain my main sim - I have so many aircraft and airports for it.

It was True Earth that tempted me into X-Plane. I will use XP as my True Earth sim going forward ;):)

They are great ! Comparing to P3D, XP11 goes well in fps ? Thank you.

Thank you! :). I haven't checked frame rate, but XP11 is a very fluid experience on my set-up. No lags or stutters etc :D

Nice pictures Paul

Do you sly with a joystick?

Thanks Carlos! :)

Yes, I have the CH Pro flighterstick, throttle and pedals. XP picked them up straight away. All I had to do was assign the axis and buttons.

wow, understood. I have a hard time with the keyboard and mouse with X-plane so difficult to control the plane that's why I don't use it. I'll keep on trying to configure the plane controls while I get better equipment. Thanks Paul

I would certainly suggest a joystick. Best to get one with a throttle on it? ;)
