paulb
True Earth GB South and XP 11. Just a few shots of my first flight Taking off from Cardiff Airport, to the south is Porthkerry Viaduct Heading East towards Cardiff we can see the bay with the barrage To the left is the Millenium Stadium - home of International Rugby and a venue for large music concerts Cardiff Castle, renovated by the Bute family and behind, park grounds donated by the family as open spaces in perpetuity Heading North we see Roath Park Lake and Llanishen Reservoir. Caerphilly Mountains are in the distance Now heading East towards Newport, we fly over the M4 motorway
Sundancer
Congratulations with the new sim and the beautiful scenery, Paul, It must be a joy to recognize so many familiar things in this well known area for you. I hope you will have hours and hours of fun with this new sim. Happy Flying !!
paulb
Many thanks Fred, Well I could not resist the True Earth scenery for the UK. Especially as it covers South Wales I also thought that X-Plane might be better than P3Dv4 for photo scenery. So here I am!

Well I was determined not to buy x-plane, but after seeing the shots of True Earth GB - my resolve folded! XP is actually quite nice, with very different visuals to P3Dv4. It was True Earth that tempted me into X-Plane. I will use XP as my True Earth sim going forward

Yes, I have the CH Pro flighterstick, throttle and pedals. XP picked them up straight away. All I had to do was assign the axis and buttons. I'll keep on trying to configure the plane controls while I get better equipment. Thanks Paul
