lifejogger Posted June 9, 2018 Share Posted June 9, 2018 In my last flight I left old route 66 and went to Neosho, Missouri to visit some friends. Now it is time to get back on track. Leaving Neosho and following old route 66 to Claremore, Oklahoma Leaving Neosho Were in Oklahoma now and that is The Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees in the background. Flying by Miami, Oklahoma population 13,500 Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees again, it is a big lake. Getting close to KGCM, Claremore’s airport KGCM Claremore has a population of 18,581. It is best known as the birthplace and home of early 20th-century entertainer Will Rogers. Rogers died in 1935 with aviator Wiley Post, when their small airplane crashed in northern Alaska.
