Another nice run Jack...making the Connie move across the globe like the old days :)

Thanks Landon!  It's such a beautiful plane, and A2A has done an excellent job on it.

Very nice Jack, I think that date line was supposed to go the other direction

  Thanks Sammy!  I really have no idea about the date line, I might have to study up on it.  It gives me another top-secret idea for a flight though!

Looks a long lonely run there Sir, but a good one I bet!  Great shoot!

Back in 66 on our way to Vietnam (1500 of us) on a Merchant Marine ship the USNS Barrett we were all pretty young then and were told by the merchant mariners that when we crossed the IDL we all had to get a hoop earring put in!  Well that didn’t happen!

Thanks Roger, on the way to Vietnam, first, thank you, whenever I see a Vietnam vet I always shake his hand.  Back in 66 I was 7.  I think someone might have been swimming if they tried that with me!

Wonderful set from the latest part of your journey.

Those OLC cities do look good.

I think the IDL goes through the Pacific.

Thanks Martyn, I agree, Global is impressing me as I make these legs.  As for the IDL I never paid it much mind, will have to research it but I have some interesting ideas for flights.

That day just flew by Jack.  Great captures! :)

Thanks Adam, you know what they say about having fun, the time just whizzed by!

Wow, Connie, Jack! :) Nice seria shots!

On approach too early position flaps landing. Full flaps forward on 500 ft and below, when landing already guaranteed. Else small speed, unbalance and hard engine operating mode. After full flaps — max RPM. MP not higher 25".

Thanks Eugene, nice advice and nice observations, I had a lot of wind and this plane is very difficult to maneuver as she's so large, so I have to plan way in advance.  I'll try again on the next leg.

I suspect you are not a hardcore-true-life-imitiating simmer and make your VFR flying easier sometimes ;)?
