I am a bit surprised that not more seems to have been done to develop software that would make it easy to simultaneously develop scenery for all the main simulators. I would think that would have been a priority by now. Develop an airport for MSFS, for example, then pass it through the transition software and out comes the airport in XP12 and P3D.

I notice that Volanta in P3D can display a profile of terrain elevation along the flight path of an ongoing flight. However, I only see the terrain profile as far as the flight has already gone. Can someone explain how to get a display of the the terrain elevation profile for an entire flight after I put in a flight plan? If I have the entire terrain profile for a flight plan I can then plan altitude levels for the entire flight.

I am not simming as much as I did in earlier years.

I don't think you can disconnect time spent flight simming over the last few years from Corvid. The more or less enforced need to stay at home and out of circulation and not being out meeting people. Now that need is essentially gone for just about everybody. We are still having days in southern Oregon when its too cold to be comfortable outdoors. On those days I'm on the computer, but find my self planning changes on the garden rr. -

I spend more time simming in the winter months. In the summer its garden railroading and rc flying. -
Nice shots. I like to fly the non TE regions in winter. P3d looks great in winter.

Mt. Mc Loughlin is a bit over 9,000 feet about 20 minutes east of Medford, Oregon. This was on a flight from Boise to Medford in the Carenado CT182T.

The Aerosoft A318/319 was on Orbx Christmas sale so I bought it. Took about an hour to get the cargo doors closed and the engines started but only about 10 minutes to get to 20,000 feet over southern Oregon.

There is no crime in P3D and all landings are great because you can always use the airplane again

KBOI Boise is fairly nice in P3D. Idaho is in the Orbx NA Central Rockies region and I think KBOI may benefit from that although its not an add on airport in P3D. This shot is on approach in the Carenado C208 Grand Caravan with the G1000 panel. Straight forward and easy to fly with good visibility out of the cockpit.
