  1. Sorry to report I cannot get the images to open. I get a message that says the image is not available.
  2. A flight from EFHK to EDBH.
  3. My experience so far is that the Ryzen 5800X3D we installed over the Thanksgiving holiday and Radeon 6900X seem to be a good combination. I can now fly into areas like San Jose with high settings and decent frame rates.
  4. This is near the end of a flight from Fresno to San Jose, Ca. Above the rudder is the San Luis reservoir. We are about 40 miles south of San Jose near Los Banos. Connected to the San Luis reservoir is its forebay. And off in the distance is the Los Banos reservoir, one of the premiere sites in Northern California for RC slope flying. When I was living in the SF Bay Area i went down there many times to fly. No matter which the wind was blowing there was good lift. And here we are on final to San Jose.
  5. Big Bear is a nice little airport with challenging approaches. the Community help forum has a thread for FSX and FSX steam as well as P3D Xplane MSFS and Aerofly.
  6. Taking off from Palm Springs on a flight to Fresno, Ca. Heading back north with the Shed.
  7. My P3D drive is up to 1.75 tb. Mostly Orbx scenery. I just spent a fair amount of money on the Black Friday sale. I would definitely like to see more Orbx P3D scenery. I have no plans to delve into MSFS.
  8. Yep. I go back to the Shed every now and then. Its fairly simple and easy to fly with good visibility so I can concentrate more on the scenery. That's why I have been flying down along the coast. Will fly back north more to the east.
  9. I was flying IFR and the program tried to fly me into the mountains around Burbank. I just ignored the instructions to descend into the mountains. After a while the program went to the ILS approach and vectored me in to Burbank. Next stop San Diego. We will be heading to Palm Springs when we start back north after San Diego. The IFR sub routine tried to fly me into the mountains around Palm Springs when I was there a year ago. We'll see what happens this time around.
  10. San Luis Obispo, KSBP, is a mid California airport near the coast about halfway between Monterey and Santa Barbara with an easy ILS approach into runway 11. Next Stop Burbank.
  11. Wait until the black Friday sale.
  12. Here we are on approach to Monterey, Ca. This is a continuation of a flight from Portland to Medford, Redding, Sonoma, and San Carlos.
  13. Beautiful scenery with one of my favorite airplanes. Nice!
  14. I just thought this was an interesting shot.
  15. The interesting thing about a runway 14 ILS approach is that you come in between two table top mountains and typically you pass through what glider guys call rotors which is very unstable air caused by updrafts from the hills. Once the wind goes over the top of the hills it slams back down and rolls down wind. Makes for an exciting approach..
  16. My question about these MSFS updates is can you continue flying without doing the update and you could just wait to update until the server load decreases?
  17. My understanding is that with P3D if you click on uninstall in Orbx Central all that happens is the program can no longer access the scenery. It does not do a full uninstall. So that for example if you uninstall a True Earth scenery its not completely removed from your computer. Its not a long re download if you want to put it back. Is that basically correct?
