Rodger Pettichord
Hi all. This week's topic is supplied by paulb. I'm posting it a little early because I can't wait to see the responses. Should be very interesting! So search your memory box and tell us what you find. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Do you have a favourite aviation memento? It might be a sign, programme, or whatever. Mine is a genuine control stick from an F-4J Phantom. The RAF flew a number of ex-Marine F-4Js. When they went out of service, I purchased one at an airshow.

Rodger Pettichord
Unit patches from places I served overseas with the US Air Force (as a civilian). Got them framed as a group. Now they're on the wall over my flight sim computer.

gumbypickett
Mine is a real Qantas 747-400 in my back yard. Sorry I was dreaming for a second. I have a signed Autograph from Bob Hoover and my old airport photos of TAA and Ansett aircraft from early 80s and my memory when it's working. cheers Gumby 3 3

flyingfish55
John, I had a similar flying helmet that was used by Russian pilots in WW2 however the earpieces deteriorated despite me rubbing them with leather balsam. I also got an autograph from an old timer who was on a unsuccessful bombing mission to destroy the bridge on the river Kwai. 3 1
wain71
all the great things you all have, very jealous now, I don't really think I have anything except some pictures of Concorde flying over Brunel's Suspension Bridge, two great icons of my home town.... 4
TuFun
I was the last person to inspect the ejection seats on a F-4E that crashed on takeoff and was award by the base commander for saving the crews life. I have the Martin Baker ID plate of one of the seats ejected from that aircraft. 2

Nick Cooper
Hello, I just have these, from my grandfather's career with Reckitts. He was a WW1 fighter pilot, right at the end of that war and did have various mementoes of then but I have none of them. 5
