No need to climb high after today´s start at Brisbane...

... instead, it is a challenge to fly that low & slow along the river!

We were really surprised when we witnessed that action in 2019.

And this is how Graeme looked at the same flight:

Super cool to see that C-17 flying along that river in an urban environment. But then, I am not surprised knowing firsthand how capable that aircraft is. Must have been a great show in person! :)

It's great to be able to recreate it Gerold. Nice touch with the real photo.

Cheers

Graeme :)

It is great, and not easy. But these memories...

Hopefully you can revisit the festival next year Gerold .

Oh that would be amazing. But I fear a) it does not fit into our schedule and b) the festival may not be held at all...

How weird, we were on that bridge watching the action at Riverfire in 2019 as well!

Now that is outstanding. Two forum members on the same bridge at the same time. Though... it was quite crowded, no wonder we did not recognize the other flight enthusiast there... :D

It was a great show, Landon, it was. For me it is really difficult to fly the virtual C-17 there - and they even do it in real! The were followed by F-18s, at even higher speeds. Donno how they manage that... at least with some noise!

Sorry mate, I was paying attention to the Globemaster going over me at a very low altitude, not people watching

That's a heavy lady

I've seen that one in real life

great shots Gerold

I saw her at Hanover airport as well, but not so close and not on that kind of movement as in Brisbane...

Great shots indeed Gerold. That RL shot is something else to see.

Thanks Karl. I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time, and totally by chance!

Well done Gerold!::)

Thank you Adam. It was not easy to fly, and I had a "pause" key!
