VH-KDK Posted April 23, 2021 Share Posted April 23, 2021 The excellent Virtavia Consolidated C-87 on a flight from Berlin Tegel to Malmo, here passing Furstenberg Havel in the Brandenburg State of Germany. The C-87 was a transport version of the B-24 Liberator and 287 were built. A very unpopular aircraft with it's crews and had numerous performance, handling vices as well as unreliable hydraulics along with the leaking fuel systems. At least 150 were lost in accidents.
