My travelling companion is Walter's niece
She doesn't manage to visit often, but when she does it's
hard to get her to leave

We'll just stop for a few minutes to let her have one last look

She has many happy memories . Walt and her Aunt Bess, where like a second set of parents for her
Some of her best times were when they could convince Walt to take the motor home out and go camping
She'll point out her favourite fishing spot when we get up.

The little red house in the distance is where here first true love lived. Neil was his name and he now is in the military.
She went on the university and eventually made it big as an investment banker on Wall Street. I didn't want to say anything, but
I noticed a tear or two. Maybe she still has a soft spot for Neil after all this time

Now we're ready to go. I gott'a tell you, as far as scenery goes, it doesn't get much better than this.
What a wonderful place to grow up in ...

And off we go ....

I like to think folks on the ground would at least notice me. But they're so used to Walt, that I don't
even interrupt their conversation

Yes, Walt does have a pretty nice setup here. It's really nothing special, but it all works well for him, and
it is truly in a very special spot.

And as far as the real residents are concerned, I'm just interrupting their lunch!

Yep, a really nice place

Just off to the right is a beautiful little camp site.
Nice sandy beach and because its shallow at this end, the water was always warm.
She loved going there with the family..

And her favourite fishing spot was just into the little inlet
right under the power line. Uncle Walt used to take his boat in there
and it was always guaranteed that they would come back with fresh fish for supper:)

Thanks for coming along on this little trip....
Till next time ....

Nice story and shots Pete, I was hoping to see a landing though ;)

Thank you Jack

I'm a working on it as they say, but it is definitely a work in progress.

At the moment it certainly isn't a pretty sight.

Found some good YouTube videos on IRL Cessna landings, but they make it look so easy, and I just

can't seem to get it right so far. :(

Have a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2020!

You have a new career - besides the excellent screenshots your storytelling reminds me of 'Steinbeck' and that's not a piano :).

Thanks OND! Appreciate the vote of confidence:)

I'm not sure though -  he was accomplished and I'm not, but he probably couldn't land an airplane either, so

there may be more to it

Have a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2020!

Cheers
