I added an Anacortes screenshot last week which I think someone guessed very quickly. You are in the right area.

paulk
Well done Rod it is indeed Friday Harbour. Did the clue help? Edited December 2, 2023 by paulk
stiletto2
Once I thought it might be Friday Harbor, but was not sure, the clue suddenly made sense so I made the guess. After taxiing around Friday Harbor in MSFS, I realized that the surroundings of the airport were a bit hilly such that you could be on a service road and look down onto the taxiways etc. which is what your great pic portrays. Hope you have another pic to submit because I don't have any. Rod

Rob Abernathy
I was just posting it was Friday Harbor and when I did I didn't realize there were more posts with the correct guess! I solved it by looking up the N registration on that Cessna. Been to Friday Harbor airport about 5 times, love the island.

paulk
Ok I will start the ball rolling, so looking at aircraft registration I would say we are in Australia?
Stillwater
For me this looks like the "mainterminal building" at Milford Sound? The apron is to the right, and the helicopters park to the left?
paulk
Stillwater, I think you may be on to something, that would make the aircraft registration ZK-SKA which is part of Air Milford 2000 according to the NZ Aircraft Registration database. Is it a Cessna 208?
wolfko
And the steep terrain behind the plane is also a hint for Milford Sound.

paulk
I went 20+ years ago and kayaked in the sound, (it rained all day) so nice to see your blue sky photos. Here another sporty approach: And the proof of sunshine:

But they are all not correct. At least, we are more or less in the Pacific area... Not too many international connections from this airport (in fact just one, and that was only established recently). paulk
I enjoyed that one, thank you. I am away at the moment so can’t upload a photo for you all to guess. I will upload a photo of the airport when I depart as I think it’s available in Orbx Central. Happy for someone to jump in here.
