A flight I made yesterday

Recommended Posts

This was a nice flight from Palm Springs to Seattle that I made yesterday with real-time weather.

Had to do a go-around on landing but otherwise it was very cool.

There's a lot, sorry.

The office is much higher than a Bonanza, that's for sure.

With a 10K' runway, KPSP is certainly capable.

Epic my friend. I never ever considered a B747 at Palm Springs. Should have known you would have it sussed :) Awesome mate.

Cheers Graeme

Thanks Graeme, I don't think there would be regular flights there but with a 10K runway it can certainly accommodate one.

Smashing shots Jack . :):)

Cheers

Thanks John, I wanted to do a couple of things.  One was a flight that wasn't continent spanning, another with runways long enough, and third, test out Seattle.  All was perfect.

A well suited plane for this flight distance, and great screenies, Jack. The weather looks totally real!

Thanks Gerold, I was very pleased with everything as it had been a while since I flew the 747 and fortunately didn’t forget anything.

Thanks Greg, it’s sad we will see less and less of these beautiful planes.

Yes it is. I remember the first one I saw on the ramp at KBGR. A Pan Am 747-100 in 1970.

When I was with TWA at KBOS we used to depart them to EGLL, LFPO and LIRA then inbound to the west coast.

Greg

Excellent!  What year?  They used to fly so low over our town we weren’t allowed to fly kites.

Great shots and story Jack, see you threw some nice puffy clouds in there for Martyn:) Also love those big birds, and thankful we will be able to continue to see them in our sims

Don

Thanks Don, I agree, they’ll live on as newer more boring vanilla jets take their place.  I think we’ve seen the last of legendary and iconic design.
