A few shots from a couple of flights around the Snowdonia National Park. All in the Spitfire again I'm afraid ^-^

The golden glow of evening.

Mark

You may have published the data earlier & I missed it, but I, (& I am sure many others), would be  very interested in the apps you are using to get these great pictures.

TTM

Hi and thanks TTM... I'm using XVision and a lua script (mainly to sharpen the shadows)... your very welcome to try themMark Abdey XPXV1.1.xvsshadows.lua

The shots above are using two different presets, which are slight variations on the ones linked... I find there is no one preset to rule them all... as it depends on TOD & weather, and so, I keep playing.

Astounding!  If someone showed me this back in the early 80's I would have thought it was done with a Star Trek level computer, I don't think even mainframes back then could do this!

Cheers Jack... I know, it's amazing. In the 80's I was flying wire frame graphics in sims on the Dragon32 then the ZX Spectrum and later the Atari ST, which finally filled the polygons with basic textures.

Your pre-sunset shots are very impressive especially those long shadows in #1.  I'm using your shadows.lua - is it all about time of day?

Yep TOD... there is a point where the light is still bright and the shadows are just right... the magic sim hour ^-^  I'm constantly playing with the TOD to find the sweet spot.
