lauriebe
Very nice indeed Renault. Are you using any weather add-ons/presets in those shots?

Clouds are UWXP Improved Cloud Sets by Marc Westhofen 1.0.0 , Cloud set 0 which is available from XPlane-org. Cloud shading in this case is a little .lua script I wrote myself, although I normally like to use the settings in XVision (I'm continually changing them though ). Everything else is just XPlane default Cheers R

Now about to try your preset in XVision.

Am also planning on purchasing XVision Pro today...now after seeing these great shots from Renault, I will add ‘Ultra Weather XP’ to my shopping list...or is active sky the better option? Please let me know if either of these programs have a negative impact on frame rates over True Earth GB ? Edit..will move this question over to T&T’s thread... Mark Abdey
These look great Renault!... I like the punchy colours. I'll certainly try your profile when I get xv. I've been messing with some lua scripts mosty for shadow improvements but find issues with them, such as cloud shadows flicking on and off and some rotating... does this happen in x vision as well?... wondering if its an XPlane limitation or the scripts I'm running. I am really pleased that you enjoyed it. Normally Xvision doesn't have a negative impact on performance. However some of the shaders can pull your frames down. For example sharpenblurring if set to high can not be a good thing. This preset is very easy on frames I can't comment on weather programs as I don't use either . Thanks John. It was a lot of fun working on this . I enjoyed it immensely Cheers Pete And thanks everyone for your feedback. I am pleased that you have enjoyed this. I will not be participating in the forums for a while - going off to soak up some sun & heat, which is sadly lacking where I live at the moment Cheers!
