VH-KDK
That's what a Mars a day used to do. Previously 11. At Sliammon with Powell River in the distance. 12. Approaching Larsons Landing on the Okeover Inlet. 13. CLose to Refuge Cove now on Desolation Sound. 14. A tight 180 with Evening Mountain n the horizon. 15. Taxying into Refuge Cove after an uneventful landing. 16. Easy to manoeuvre the Mars into its mooring and now a look around YRC. 17. 18. 19. 20. I hope you enjoyed the conclusion to this flight. Jack Sawyer
Terrific shot and narrative Martyn, I particularly like 14 & 15! And this plane looks huge here, must have been quite a large aircraft.
paulb
A great conclusion Martyn . Fascinating aircraft (200 feet wingspan) using as a firefighting water bomber later in its life.
flyingleaf
Great shots Martyn. That old girls home is on Vancouver Island, BC. Man just imagine the amount of beer that girl could haul. Could probably quench the thirst of a few thousand Aussies. Hmmm ok mebby a few hundred or less
Rodger Pettichord
Classic shots, Martyn. There is a good YouTube video of a Mars flight shot from the cockpit. Your shots could have fit right in there. Thanks!

You could carry a whole lake of beer or even a few Hildas but not at the same time. It would make a wonderful companion plane for the Mule Team! We are apparently drinking less down here now, maybe too much time being spent on iPads and mobiles!
