Well it is above freezing which is baking hot in AK.

At Girdwood nearly into to Anchorage.

Gets hot in the interior - summer of '60 in Fairbanks it was 90+ for a while.  Of course the following winter it got to 60 below :).  Coldest I've ever been was -67 at McGrath in '61.

What a coincidence John as it is such a small town. 

It appears to be a beautiful area or does the sim give a false impression.

I cannot get too much further away from Oz could I.

Actually the Orbx scenery does a pretty good job with the area , personally I would like to see more detail with the Alyeska resort at the top of the valley .

That is good to hear John, it is just that someone said that the area around Bowerman looks pleasant but is actually not too nice if you know what I mean!;)
