jotaedo Posted May 26, 2018 Share Posted May 26, 2018 well, some of you have seen a thread int he forum called exploring USA, its a sort of flying diary anyhow @VH-KDK convinced me to make this into another post cause some things are just getting lost so. here we are..... this time from KHQM, the FBO for the PNW (can see the Shoots from the trip from Lake Tahoe to Bowerman making a click HERE ) so? what comes next? KHQM - KUIL - and 11S (a quite hard approach) the 310 is a really good looking plane it isnt? just a short taxi trip getting everything ready for dep lined up at rwy 24 KHQM and airborne! positive climb and gear up! very straightforward 310 coastal flying shoot and suddenly the USS Nimitz appears could not resist call the ball!!! hope the USN don't charge me later with fees for pattern or shoots enough Nimitz... let's find KUIL should be someplace over there, nice bush shoot here and now back in the trusty Seminole to 11S... too big plane for a small airstrip? lest will see take off with the G600 retrofitted cockpit mmmm looks like an interesting small valley to fly in to... should I? course yes! let's check out the other side... lighthouse! so this is how looks like the place where the uncle Sam's lands end headed back to the route we call Caletas in Chilean Spanish to this small towns/villages next to the ocean arriving into 11S... and now the app, we made a sort of teardrop to the southeast and then turned to face the rwy Caleta in sigth... continue APP I was very concentrated in the app so I made a replay to take some screen shots touch down! resting and waiting the next flight more to come, looking forward to hearing from you and your comments next trip?
