Happy Birthday Martyn ikbenik

Recommended Posts

My apologies Ikbenik

For some reason I replied to Martyn as well

as a birthday wish. It wasn't Martyn's at all.

I had fog on the brain, I hope you had a good day

anyway, please forgive me.🍻

cheers

Okay, Gumby, help me out here. I thought Ikbenik was "Jonn" until I saw the name Martyn above, so I PMd him to apologize for the wrong use of his name. Now I find that "John" it is? My head hurts. Maybe Ikbenik will be so kind as to set us all straight?

Anyway, happy belated birthday Johnny!

"Ikbenik" - does this mean something like "I am I"?

That's a great question, Wolfgang. What say you, Johnny? Or does it mean "Ik, son of Ik?"

Yes, the dutch(and flemish) expression ikbenik is indeed to translate in English as I am I. In Deutsch: ich bin ich. I like more the expression me, myself and I.
