Hi Guys,

Took delivery of a Kodiak 100 yesterday, just a few pics of my first flight around Brisbane. Hope to be going west tomorrow.:)

Neat little plane, great for observation, and IMHO a long way ahead of most aircraft of this calibre available.

Thanks for looking  Don

A new bird Don.

There was me thinking you had got a new lady friend on the quiet!>:D

Wonderful images of your Kodiak and I hope you enjoy it.

Some splendid images around Brisbane too.:)

Thanks Martyn, but haven't got the strength  to keep up with a new "bird" these days, besides me wife would not be happy.

Excellent shots Don :)

Your new Kodiak will be well suited for VFR - maybe in the PNW or Alaska as well?

Thanks Paul, have got the PNG scheduled for the near future, watch the bush pilots a lot. Think my nav skills will need a bit of a polish before I tackle it.

I'm thinking from doing high and fast

to low and slow. I realize I'm missing out on

a lot.

Hmm tough thinking.

Still I like your shots Don.:)

cheers

Gumby

If you're not doing "low and slow", you are missing out on a lot of  great scenery mate. But I do like to get high every now and then - talkin about flying err aircraft that is.:P:lol:

Great shots in your new ride Don, and thanks for the cockpit views, I was curious if it had the G1000 but I prefer the GTN 750.

Thanks Jack. There is just enough "work" setting it up for a flight, to make it interesting. I was also curious about how I would go getting it up - hmm don't let your imagination run wild here, :D reports I read was that it was a "handful" taking off, because of the engine power it had a violent left curve on accelerating, haven't experienced that, I've found it very well behaved :)

Congrats to your new bird, Don. One day, I'm sure she will beg you to hop over to PNG :D

Thanks mate. As I said to Paul, he mentioned flying in PNW, PNG is another challenge, actually more so than PNW I think, won't even mention Alaska:wacko:

Very good shots Don. :) So the modern GA available for MSFS via Orbx is the C310 and the Kodiak....

Thanks mate, yep and both great planes. Just love the C310, and the Kodiak is brilliant for low flying and checking out the scenery. There is just so much great stuff to see, and the Kodiak has enough things to click to keep it interesting.

nice shots there Don, nice plane, I have never been keen on the G1000 so haven't got this one but the Kodiak is none the less a lovely plane...

Thanks Wayne. it has never bothered me much  with what I have  for nav so I'm okay with the G1000, and the Kodiak is a great plane to fly, which is the important part for me.
