Winter still has caught me

And how fascinating it looks, up here in Narvik.

Everything has warmed up, so we can go.

The easier airport to land is the nearby Evenes. But Narvik is by far looking more interesting (and is the bigger challenge for the simmers).

Icebergs or islands? Who wants to try?

This flight goes along the Lofoten islands, just as @jean marc had suspected.

... and then, after crossing the strait, Bodö.

Don´t say a Twotter can´t use ILS.

And she is easy to land, if only you manage the speed way ahead.

Here we are, ready to visit the city before going on.

Winter is not an old man's game.  Shakespeare mentioned "discontent" - that ain't half of it.  Back in the day when I was snowshoeing runways it seemed like pure fun but now, not so much.  Your shots are good enough to make me shiver.

Cold but nice Gerold.:)

Come on Karl, you are a man from the north - you can stand it! Even with on board service much less individual than from the Mule team.

Outstanding Gerold!  I love that route and yes, I flew many an FSE mission in the Twin Otter using ILS.

Thank you Jack. In this case I used the ILS only as a guidance help, not for the approach...

Really nice set of pics, Gerold.
Scenery looks great and that Widerøe livery looks good on the Twotter!

Thank you mate. I always try to use local liveries for my flights, and in this case even the colour was fitting nicely to the weather...

At least there has been no real winter in northern germany this season. No single day below zero, not even to think about snow. Good that we have the virtual one!
