renault
Been a bit busy lately Nice to get back again Cheers Renault You know how it is... A "perfect summers" day and wouldn't it be a grand idea to go for a little flight ? So let's be off .... One thing that was "drummed into me at flight school" was keep aware of your surroundings It can turn on you in an instant .... Now those are two great friends. Stopped by to see me off. Sorry guys, I think you may get a bit wet ! I'll try to be quick And here comes the rain. The weather report says that this is pretty low and I should be out of it pretty quick as soon as I'm up. Wish me luck, or this may be the shortest screenshot sequence in Orbx history! Well that wasn't so bad. Oh, how naïve I am ! aka the last comment ... I have this very strange feeling in the pit of my stomach ...! And with good reason .... BTW thanks for asking - yes I am bouncing all over the place Well gosh, its actually starting to brighten a bit. And not a moment too soon let me tell you ... Finally !! BTW you all saw it... the Orbx stuff is down and to the right, left, front and back Well that ended well ... no skill and a lotta luck I think! Maybe next time ... something a bit warmer perhaps .... John Heaton
Ian Download limits ???? On a number of occasions when I have tried to download a screen shot - up pops a statement that the max download is xxxx which seems to change all the time because I download all the time with the same size screen shots E.G. - just tries a SS of mine and told it was to big - Max load 0.27MB - and yet we open today with 21 downloads by one contributor - and tested just one At 600 + kbs What am I doing wrong ?? Cheers Pete 9 hours ago, Jack Sawyer said: Fantastic Pete. Couple of questions. Where is this? How did you get such cool weather in XP? Hi Jack Thanks. It was Darrington in Washington I believe. It was just the default weather in XP I just set weather to Foggy on the slider, moved the first layer of clouds down to ground level (in the weather edit option) and off I went. See you Pete 7 hours ago, adambar said: Sensational shots Pete! Thanks Adam! John I use imgur as well. Here is a Orbx link to a full set of instructions that may be helpful to you in getting started. If you are using the free version of Imgur, it will sometimes do an atrocious job of compressing large files in terms of quality and secondly it places a daily limit on the number of uploads if the original file size is large. This may become an issue if you have a 4K system. I use 1080p, and I have found it helpful to compress my files into .jpg to minimize file size (compared to a .bmp or .png uncompressed) before I upload them If you make screenshots in 4K, you also may want to experiment a bit with downsampling to 1080p before you post them if you run into issues with Imgur. Using .jpg at 100% quality at 1080p I never seem to have a problem , Hope this is helpful Cheers Pete
