VH-KDK
My Aero Commander 114 would not get off the ground, I will have to adjust the load amongst other things. I had more luck with the Tecnam. Big Bear is a challenge for me being at such a high altitude.

olderndirt
Lean for max EGT then rich it just a tad or, an old Alaskan trick - lean on one mag for max rpm then switching back to both will be just right.
adambar
What on earth was your Commander loaded with Martyn, then again, maybe I don't want to know.

Thank you OND, I have never heard of the mag trick, I had quite a shock when I saw the airport elevation.

I would say so Rodger but you have to remember that it was me trying to fly it. It is even harder to fly when you have 50 yards of fencing wire and 18 star posts hanging off the undercart. You are at sea level where you are Fred and even though it is flat as a tack here we are some 380ft amsl here in Mooroopna.
