VH-KDK Posted October 10, 2018 Share Posted October 10, 2018 I missed one of the 340s when I did a post on them a while ago. So here is the Cessna 340 in Japan. 1. At Kozushima RJAZ, a small island with a population of just under 2000. It is under Tokyo's Administration. 2. Some of the Izu Islands in the Philippine Sea. Shikine-Jima and Ni-Jima are the 2 on the right. 3. Approaching the Izu Peninsular and the port of Shimoda. 4. Passing Amagi Sammyaku at 4612ft. 5. Suruga Bay is ahead with Hosenji below the port wingtip. 6. Fuji ahead with Shimizu distant left. The industry along the bay has heavily polluted it. 7. Ahead is Mishima with Mount Ashitaka and Mount Fuji. 8. There are many paper mills at Fuji along with food processing and vehicle parts. The main crop in the vicinity is tea. 9. Back at the head of Suruga Bay which has the greatest depth of any bay in Japan. The Suruga trough which runs up the bay has a depth of 8200 ft. 10. Remarkably only 50 miles from Japan's deepest bay is it's tallest mountain. Fuji has a height of 12388ft. Moreto come later. I hope you enjoyed the first part of the flight.
