VH-KDK
The Sequoia F8L Falco is a wooden plane originally built by the Aviamilano company in 1955. 1. We are departing EICK Cork for a short flight. 2. Passing Cork University College. 3. Not far away is Blarney Castle. The current keep was built in 1446 and sits next to the wonderful Martin River. 4. The world famous Blarney Stone is in the castle, if you kiss it you are said to obtain the "gift of the gab." 5. At Donoughmore with The Burren to be seen on the right horizon. 6. At Lyre with Seefin Mountain in the distance. 7. Sizing up our destination, EIRT Rathcool. next to the River Owennagleo. 8. On approach over the river. Don't mention the landing. Being made of wood the Falco took to the trees! 9. They are talking about the landing and I think they will be talking about it for many years. I trust you enjoyed this short flight in Ireland.

lifejogger
I guess at one time all planes were made of wood and canvas. Beautiful shots and I enjoyed the flight.

Rodger Pettichord
Hey Martyn. Nice lines on the plane and nice shots of the area and homebase. Thanks!
Captain Lars
Very nice tour of a seldomly portrayed country here on the board. Well, not as seldom as China perhaps... The guy that's talking about your landing wears trousers from the 70s I think.
adambar
Great little plane and shots Martyn. Mak sure you check for termites, it wouldn't be a good day if parts started flying off during flight.
