Canberra to Bathurst

The Angry Puppy TFDi 717 makes another flight.  Still learning the bits and bobs of this silly plane.  McDonnell Douglas designed some things that are very strange to me.

Excellent set and very well flown.

Beautiful images on the NSW countryside too.:)

Those engines look like buckets of fun on landing!

Thanks Martyn!  Australia is nothing like any other Orbx product, it's a huge country with so much variation, very beautiful.  Been waiting for a long time to do this in 64 bit!

And yeah those buckets are really cool, they can slow down in a hurry.  On the line here at Atlanta Air Tran was actually allowed to reverse away from the gate but we were not allowed to.  It caused a lot of debris to go flying everywhere and was just a hot mess for the ramp guys.  But in this plane in the sim I can reverse back in reverse thrust, very cool!

Excellent series of shots Jack! and what looks like a perfect landing! :)

Thank you kindly Paul, it was, but it took me three go-arounds.  I can't figure out these gosh-darned auto-throttles.

Are you flying the latest version Jack? I will probably download it later. I want to see the rain! ;)

The scenery in your shots looks as great as your landing, Jack. Compliments!

And this plane will always remind me of my first domestic flight in Australia many years ago... lovely.

Thanks Gerold.  I hope I get to make a domestic trip in Australia someday, it's a dream.

Nice series of pictures Jack. Great colour.

Hope you do get to visit down under some day.

Don't expect to see Canberra Domestic Terminal (YSCB) like that. It all went about 8 years ago. Big modern facility now finished in 2014. You can see the terminal foundations in the background of the FTX scenery.
