  1. Still looking but I'm stumped. S45 is the only msfs scenery on the coast in the Orbx Direct catalog that I can find, esp since the clue mentions a good looking coastline. It's not Bowerman is it?
  2. Rod, it may be on the East coast! Can't tell from such scant details. Reminds me of KFOT Rohnerville or maybe KEKA Murray Field too but that's not available for msfs. Maybe it's one from P3D?
  3. S45 Siletz Bay? Oregon coast has some of the best scenery I've ever seen.
  4. So I could go fishing and flying at the same time!
  5. My wife says I'm good for nothing. It nice that she has such low expectations, makes my life easier.
  6. Listening to the gig at Madison Gardens now, great choice Adam. I've seen both Clapton and Dylan live. Dylan at the Monterey Pop Festival in June of '67, Clapton in Texas a year later. He was with Cream then. Two of my favorites!
  7. 1. Your first pet. Tweeti...a green parakeet 2. Your first bicycle. A big bike with no brakes my Dad got from the Sheriff's impound. Didn't realize it had no brakes until I got to the bottom of the hill by my house. 3. Your first girlfriend. Linda Moore......were were boyfriend/girlfriend from Kindergarten to 7th Grade 4. Your first real skill as a kid. Mumbly peg I can still throw a mean knife 5. Your first hero (real or fictional). My Dad, he was a Deputy Sheriff and I was sure he was saving the world. 6. Your favorite candy bar as a kid. A Big Hunk 7. Your best pal(s) as a kid. Paul and Mike since 5 yrs old. Both in my wedding in 1971 and still in touch with them today.
  8. Somewhat near Arlington in Washington state US. I mistakenly had my daughter drive right onto the beginning of the runway (just opposite from the house with the pool) so I could get a better angle on the shot, when the lady of the house came screaming out, waving an orange flag telling me to get the Heck out of there!
  9. Nice one Matt. 🙂 Here's one in Washington. It's a screen I just took because when trying to take the real picture I ran into some trouble.
  10. Two legged running water.....lol....nice one Ken! I remember all but Packards and the party line telephone. Good times growing up in the 50's and 60's, a different world without internet, social media. We had to actually go outside and play after school. 🙂
  11. Grew up just south of Oakland and remember lots of great bands back in the day. Thanks for sharing this great clip Adam. I shared it with two of my grandkids that are in jazz band at school, they'll love it.
  12. Have to agree about the boat Ken. I've had my share over the years and only recently have become boatless....if that's a word. It's said that the two happiest days of a boat owners life are the day you buy the boat and the day you sell it. LOL
  13. Thanks John, excellent video. I now have a folder for saved links just for this aircraft.
  14. Nice one John! No issues with the update here either and I waited a day for the ATR and got a discount on it. Now I'm watching UTube videos to learn how to start/manage/fly it. I'm usually a kick the tires/light the fires type of pilot but I'll take the time to learn this one. The FMC is a bit daunting but only because I haven't any experience with one yet. Good thing I'm old and don't have a curfew!
  15. Got the ATR in the sale as well. So far two of the 4 screens don't show anything when starting ready to fly on the runway. Guess I'll have to look at the checklist....lol.
  16. Starting out the day with a good laugh.....priceless!
  17. I almost had a picture of Monroe First Air but realized too late that I had my daughter drive right onto the run up area at the end of the runway. Wondered why this lady in a nearby house was waving a yellow flag and yelling at us. Looked up and a C172 was on short final! We hauled a__ out of there and the pilot got to practice an emergency go around. Didn't have time to snap a pic.
  18. I think I got it, KMYL McCall, Idaho Checked in the sim and that tower gave me the final hint, maybe.
  19. This has helped me already Bassman. I have a folder for N America and within I have separate folders for each state I have scenery. Also found that it helps if I only install one scenery at a time and run MSFS. I tried several at once and got a CTD. Easier to find the culprit if you check one at a time. Here's a screen of how I have it set up. MSFS is on my G:/ drive as are two other scenery folders. One for MSFS Community Mods and the other is for Orbx sceneries. Found it useful to create some presets within Addon Linker to activate various regions to save loading time. I leave some items like Shipping active in all presets.
  20. I think this one is in Washington. Will have to dig deeper...lol
  21. hey may as well have stayed home... Almost seems the point anymore. I was just at Costco shopping and almost everyone I saw walking towards the store entrance was staring at their smartphones, like zombies. They have their uses but I dread the day where they are mandatory.
