A very Scilly thing to do.

Well it is a rather miserable day in Cornwall, but I thought I would go for a flight in the Twotter.

Lifting off from Perranporth over the western end of town.

Passing Mithian.

3.DAkfZ.jpg

Following the A30 right to left are Pool, Barncoose and Redruth on the hill.

4.gYHa.jpg

Another village,Kehelland with Hayle Beach on the edge of Carbis Bay.

Under the Twotter is Lelant and over the Hayle Estuary is Hayle, Copperhouse and Phillack.

Here is Penzance Heliport. In the bay is St Michaels Mount with the town of Marazion behind it. Was it really 51 years ago we spent a wet 2 weeks in Cornwall. Can still remember the Captains Table restaurant at Marazion where the food was so good and the Blue Monkey at Mullion where the fare was so gross that we swear we ate the blue monkey!

Penzance is on the left and Newlyn to the right.

Leaving the mainland behind at Land's End.

The Longships Lighthouse can just be seen behind the Twotter.

The Wolf Rock Lighthouse.

The Isles of Scilly come into view. They are about 40km west of Land's End.

Coming in to land at St Mary's Airport on St Mary's Island.

Great tour and shots Martyn.

Great weather Martyn, looks refreshingly cold - is that real weather from today (would be a good perspective for northern Europe, had 32°C in my office today)?

Crakin Martyn..  :)

Grand set these mate.
