VH-KDK Posted July 20, 2013 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Ok I have made my choice with some this weeks overtime money burning a hole in my pocket. I have brought Anacortes which is just superb. 1. Needed a new aircraft too, so as the wrap on the Twotter has been nothing short of astounding I decided to buy this too. 2. As with all DHC aircraft it's short field performance is legendary. 3. Now in level flight, straight out of the box so to speak, as a last resort I insult the manual. 4. James has done a brilliant job on the repaints, this one particularly grabbed me. Many thanks James, another legend. 5. Airport in sight, now time the worst aspect of my flying, landing. 6. The Twotter has slowed down like I have tossed an anchor out, a little low but looking good. 7. Hey this ain't bad, touch down on one wheel but they are built tough for monkeys like me to fly. 8. Down and stopped in 300m from the end of the runway. I am impressed as this is my first landing in this type. 9. Turns on a sixpence but I will have to practice taxiing and parking. 10. Finally parked up. I think I am going to like this aircraft. Many thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction and again to James for his marvellous paint job.
