paulb
I currently have three simulators on my pc and tend to move between them. Usually that depends upon what and where I want to fly. Anyway, simply for my own benefit I decided to take a similar shot in all three. All at Orbx EGHI Southampton Airport, Gate 6, clear weather, 3.00pm, summer. I thought that I would share them here. This is not about which sim is best. It is simply a sim recognition test Sim A Sim B Sim C

Thanks Jack . I found it an interesting exercise. I will give everyone a chance first and will then give the answers.

EasternT3
I think, based on aircraft A - X-Plane - Is that the Zibo 737? B - MSFS - the FBW A32NX? C - P3D - The TFDi 717? Edited August 15, 2022 by EasternT3
andiflyit
I also have the 3 sims in use and I agree with Eastern. I think it's XP, MSFS and P3d. Good shots anyway Paul!
VH-KDK
I agree with the last two gents and I "cheated" by looking at the planes! They are excellent views all the same and an interesting comparison. The images these days are so good that sometimes it is a challenge to guess if they are RL or from the sim. Or is it that I don't get out enough.

Thank you my friends for participating The answer is - A - X-Plane B - MSFS C - P3Dv4 So well done for the correct answers! I learnt two things from this comparison - 1. All three sims look great (which I knew already) 2. I need more AI aircraft in MSFS! 4

I've repaired my installation of MSFS, I think it's now the "Deluxe" version which I purchased later, for the first time. This Xbox and MS Store stuff is sometimes difficult to handle. Now I have a new folder called "Microsoft Flight Simulator Digital Ownership" in the sim. It was not there before. And now I have AI aircraft everywhere but it seems to be in neutral paints, not the appropriate airlines. 2

I think that is 'normal' Andreas. Lots of neutral paints can appear. Have you looked at simple traffic by Aerosoft? It adds appropriate liveries (but does nothing else).
Bullfox
To me the main difference is in the lighting which is changeable in sim anyway. 1
