Stillwater
Today we leave Hoedspruit airport and follow the R40 southwards... ... with a great perspective of the North Drakensberg mountains west of us. Just before the lake at Bushbuckridge we need to turn right... ... onto the R533, which leads uphill... ... to Graskop "city". A good base to stay and explore the nearby Graskop Gorge (just below our 337) https://www.graskopgorgeliftcompany.co.za/#continue . A little detour brings us to a lookout called "Wonder View". Back to Blyde River we cross "Bourke´s Luck Potholes" - to small to be seen from a safe altitude. But the Lowfeld Lookout gives a good impression why the R532 is called "Panorama Route". The hills to the right are called "Three Rondavels", with Blydepoort Dam underneath. A full panorama behind us, and Moholoholo Animal Recovery Center below. We can´t see much detail of Balule Nature Reserve in P3D. Given the phenomenal detail of the Okavango scenery in MSFS the (potential) differences become clear: No safari in this flight. That´s the explaining documentation for today.

VH-KDK
Wonderful OLC views fom you flight Gerold. You didn't give it it's full name though, Moholoholo Animal Recovery Center Meat Pie Company. Apparently their Okapi and Giraffe crusty pies go very well with a cold Castle Larger. 1

andiflyit
This is great Gerold, you don't have a jet! And it seems to be South Africa and the OLC landclass, interesting. I am successively exploring this. Of course it provides scenery for a whole continent which would be 4 TB or so in TrueEarth. 1
Sniper31
A very nice and adventurous flight Gerold, safari style I like the change of scenery. And, good looking flight plan map Landon

Ah, now I know better. They did not fit the full name on the signs. Unfortunately the site will be closed on the day we drive by it, so I can´t check the pies, but I trust we´ll get a good dinner at other locations as well - if the lions leave some food for us two-leggers. 10 hours ago, andiflyit said: This is great Gerold, you don't have a jet! Indeed Andy, this is pure OLC. Another masterpiece of a scenery pack, covering a huge continent and spiced with a few highly detailed areas. The impression is already fantastic, even if a package like the Okavango scenery for MSFS is not available in p3d. 57 minutes ago, Sniper31 said: A very nice and adventurous flight Gerold, safari style I like the change of scenery.
