Coming from Tahiti the ongoing connection out of Houson is not an extraordinary long flight, but still lets us cross many countries and places. But first let´s get ready: Boarding, ...

We go on (into the night and) over the southeastern states, New England, Newfoundland. Which is, in total, nearly the same distance as the hop over the Atlantic towards the Irish coast with the morning sun.

Soon the southeast of Ireland is reached, with Wales already in sight.

London, mostly hiding itself.

Calais and Dunkerque at the French coast.

Brussels, you can spot the airport below. And no, Belgium is not a city.

Here we reach the Rhine near Andernach.

There must be the famous Loreley rock watching over the river - but I can´t recognize it from this altitude.

When I left the real plane of the first picture of this post (some years ago), this was our neighbor.

Yet another round of the Traveling Gerold Adventures in Flight :) An epic leg back to where you started and a much deserved beer (or other enjoyable beverage). Hopefully you have a new round of adventures planned? I look forward to those if so!

superb set of shots there Gerold, great flight, I enjoyed viewing...what are you using for your flight planning?

Thanks Wayne. I do it the hard way...:

1. make a basic plan in my ATC program, PRO-ATC/X

2. check the plan in https://skyvector.com/ , to extend the use of airways and reduce direct-tos.

3. enter the skyvector modifications manually in PRO-ATC/X, which does not always accept all

Thank you John. I could not find any word to comment the last shot.

Thanks a lot, Landon. Not yet did I have a beer - not for the breakfast over Ireland, and not for dinner over New England before. Just that one:

@Stillwater Well Gerold, nothing at all wrong with that. I love my Bailey's Irish Creme as well, and it goes well with many things ;)

Landon

I rarely drink Bailey´s, basically only after dinner in planes. I mean, in those days when we were flying in real.

I might have to start this practise in virtual flights ;D...

Fantastic journey Tahiti to Frankfurt, Gerold with some great shots. We are so blessed with the quality of our modern flight simulators. Re Bailey's, a long time ago a LH captain suggested that I pour a bit of that stuff into my coffee. Since then I do that on every flight :)
