bvdboomen
Boy, did I underestimate the trip from Whangarei to Gisborne. It shouldn't be too far being on one island but in a Moth it is. The flight occurred over two days due to a sunset and not having nav lights and all. 1. Taking off from a beautiful airport. 2. Then, enjoying the nice and vivid landscape. 3. Passing Auckland. I didn't fly a straight line because that would have me flying over water for a long time. 4. The beautiful bay. 5. Soon the landscape turns back with rolling hills. 6. Then something surprisingly: My FPS always dropped with those dense trees and shadows. Since core 0 of my 8700 is 5Ghz it seems to handle it very well. 7. Only 45 minutes to go. 8. The, we finally arrived at Gisborne! Total flying time: 4.1 hours. Cheers, Ben.
VH-KDK
A splendid set from your marathon flight Ben, excellent scenery and a great livery on your Tiger Moth. A slightly unfortunate placement of some of the port wing's furniture has given New Zealand's highest point a new name!
