VH-KDK
Time to try out the Fleet 50 Floatplane for a flight along the Portland Canal in BC. 1. At Stewart but the sea plane base CAC9. 2. As I am not sure how the Fleet 50 performeds, so it was a fair taxy out to line up with a long stretch of water. The plane is over Hyder and Fish Creek with Stewart to the right. 3. Approaching Mount Brown. We shall be crossing the border many times as it runs down the centre of the canal. I hope my passport has enough pages for all of the customs stamps as we criss-cross the border! 4. In the vicinity of Georgie Peak, the plane goes well with the vegetation. 5. A beautiful glacial valley close to Mount Marshall. 6. Out of the rain for a while approaching the dog leg at Belle Bay. If anyone's dog has lost a leg you can PM me and I will post it to you! 7. Getting close to our destination we leave the border and head east along the Portland Inlet. 8. Kincolith can just be seen on the coast to the right with Mount Francis behind 9. Tied up at CBA3 Kincolith which sits on the mouth of the Nass River. 10. With a population of 400 Kincolith was only reached by plane or boat until a road was completed in 2003. I hope you enjoyed the flight in BC and AK.

Stillwater
Wow, you got here landed safely - and even parked (what I never manage to do in a floatplane).
Captain Lars
Another wet set, but thankfully you had some dry legs in between. What is a dog leg, by the way?
Jack Sawyer
Another excellent tour Martyn, I always love your descriptions! @Captain Lars Hi Lars, a dog leg is a road, waterway, basically any route that's shaped like a dog's leg because it has a bend in it, usually anywhere from 30-45 degrees.
