jotaedo
This post pretend to be something like a flying diary, this are my first screen shots and perhaps some of my first flights on USA on VATSIM i have flown siome time before, however am very sure are also also some of my first GA flights on line on VATISM, on th eother hand i started buying ORBX stuff and simply cant stop (kepp up the sales!!) i decided to plan a large trip to enjoy the stuff i already own Below is my first screen of my intended flight plan thanks a lot to sky vector, since i know very little about USA Flying from Lake Tahoe to Orcas... why? cause if weel i never have been there have heard a lot of both places... from Orcas sicce a lot of time ago sicne it was rendered by the legendary LAGO company for fs 2002/2004... I will talk more about myself later in future posts alongside will be telling you about my story as both, virtual and real pilot so... here we go engine started at platform, ready to depart to KTVL here on taxy to rwy 34 later will tell why this tomahawk livery now airborne and turning to HDG 270.. looking for the lake the Tomahawk II flight deck... can be scary when you are a student pilot lake insight!! just descend and follow the water line to the airfield decel on rwy and vacating the rwy for the tarmac parked next to the archer just departed to KBLU flying direct to SWR VOR... and then leaving it behind R271 in KBLU change of plane now onboard a C172 depearting to CA21... hard and challenging landing must be said CA21 should be somewhere down there.. and there it is!!! final 55 knots can hear my instructur... no one single knot below!!! and made it!!! first attempt, feels like beign iceman hope you like it add ons, ORBX GLOBAL+VECTOR+NA LC+ North CAL+REX soft clouds +AS for p3dv4 more to come

jotaedo
Part II Bound to KRDD so here we are CA21 and have smoked one and a half package of cigarretes after that landing, weather ir getting just worse and a decisison has to be made.. just happened to me on real life a couple of years ago... and the decision was... just fly the damn thing cant stay here forever our lovely C172 cruising to the north looks liek we are going to take a lower altitude because the clouds made it!! turning left for a long rigth downwind below the hills, this app feels like the star wars canyon and he we are aprked next toa very nice sterman... i love this scenery 2o1 came with the KBLU package (still on sale if u don have it yet) getting ready for depearture to KRDD... on a brand new Bonanza and we are rolling donw the rwy and now airborne.... would love to fly here on Real Life lovely cruise shoot turning into base to KRDD making some memories about how to fly an illegal back course app and now resting on ramp.... hope you enjoy this second part.. more to come soon

jotaedo
so...last time I leave the bonanza parked at KRDD now I'm fully committed to fly into the PNW region.. and selected a nice Seminole for the trip, the first destination? KEKA so, just leave those single engines there... up, up and away... bye bye Benton, bye Redding leveled @8500 ft so far so good by now just another cruise shoot, but with a bumpy way ahead, for sure... just stay away from the clouds, stay below, keep your bottle with water and your bag of dirt and sand to comply with VFR, while seeing water and or land no idea oh how... but... that's overcast right... yep... its overcast just to clear any doubt... somehow managed to find a pace and go below the clouds.... and appear above water... no obstacles there... now the second part of the job, find the rwy... thanks to Garmin it's an easy task there it is... in all Glory KEKA go for that downwind segment and slow down the bird rwy vacated, fortunately, we just managed to match the FPL destination airfield with the actual destination airfield Murray Field parked and resting, waiting for the next flight hope you like it and expecting your comments btw should I move next part to a further post or just keep this thread? let me know in the comments below addons? REX Enhanced / soft clouds + PTA + ENVSHADE + ENVTEXT + AS p4 + all global range ORBX + ORBX NA Open LC + ORRBX KRDD + ORBX KEKA

jotaedo
Hi all i just made another short hop in this tour, this time headed to Crescent City KCEC took off from KEKA at dawn, the Seminole its a great IFR platform rock solid and stable, Btw those lights are fine that way? i didnt like it very mucho i have REX direct and light configurator by orbx setted but no joy at all (same observation on the last pic of this post) now above the cloud layer some serious work on the cockpit 7000 ft leveled and 20 nm DME south oc CEC, time to start descending and think about orbiting DME ARC 11 for the ILS APP to RWY 12 after some really serious IFR work we are leaving the arc for the ILS i know my mistake as i switched both freq to the ILS and i loose the DME, and i also was slighly above the altitude i should be 1900 instead of 2200 anyhow... just landed and same question, any one know a way to get those light a better look? regards and as ussual looking forward for your comments fly safe and happy landings
Stillwater
Some lovely reports and shots here, Jotaedo. I use skyvector for IFR flying only, in order to force my ATC to use efficient airways. For VFR flying i use Plan-G, did you ever try it http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/ ?
Bermuda425
Gosh oh gee! That looks like you're having some serious fun up there and are keeping ATC busy!
jotaedo
hi all thanks for your comments @Stillwater havent tried yet.. its a sort of FSNAV? like an inside FS plub in?@Bermuda425 yes i'm have beenm away from aviation (both real and virtual) so im slowly tring to stay back on track so im having a great time with p3d and ORBX now, lets go to the Screen Shoots, last time y leave the seminole parked in KCEC after an not very fancy orbit DME arc and ILS APP today screenshoots will take us from KCEC to KRBG (IFR trip in the seminole) we are know deeply deep into the PNW region and i have enjoyes it a lot TBH its gonna be a bumpy ride.. for sure ready for take off climb and turn above the clouds so far so good by now... but bumpy road ahead... be sure to use always the propper power settings, save fuel!! nice pic before entering hell dont know how but survive no pics but autopilot doing anything but flying the plane on a straight line... stall sounds and overspeed alarmas of the sim... the plane was going ballistic at 180 and something at some point.. later have to reduce MP and RMP and take the plane below the clouds with better weather but outside de MRA so GPS made the day, so was a really awfully bad flight but managed to get an straight app to KRBG and here on final way more fast than i would like but the rwy was length enough more pics tomorrow!!! hope you enjopy and as usual really looking forward to read your comments

jotaedo
before leaving Siletz we take a 152 for a bit of traffic pattern work..... nice to flight some pure VFR cause next trip its going to be IFR again
jotaedo
now... headed to the PNW FBO... Bowerman on a big and powerful 404 ready for dep on taxy Ready for T/O climbing cloudy cruise sharp looking plane looks like IFR right? Last pic before start the app work descending and arching rwy 06 insight.... sad cause we are going to circle this app for rwy 24 circling! final rwy 24 taxi and parked next to the FedEx caravan think this is the last trip with IFR, next ones are going to be VFR and this is what i have planned so....
