John Venema
Here are the first shots of our Netherlands Photoreal project up and running in Aerofly FS 2. We have a lot of work yet to do but I wanted to share these with you to show we are actively developing a photoreal region for four sim platforms in parallel - FSX/P3D/XP11/AFS2. Happy New Year everyone The night lighting looks spectacular in AFS2. Please note there are obvious warts in these pre-alpha shots so please go easy on us We'll share more with you once the beta is underway.
Sid
Congratulations John! Wow...all 4 platforms! I absolutely love it!!! The shots are amazing! In light of recent Orbx news and monitoring of recent flight sim developments over the past year, I have also this Christmas joined what I think is a growing gang of multi-platform simmers and now officially use 3 of those sims...the 64 bit ones. Still tried to do my best to contribute my little share of support in the Orbx Sale and planning on much more as we start 2018 and things like above masterpiece come to market on multiple platforms. Apart from that, I only got two other prezzies from Santa this Christmas...their called Influenza A and Influenza B...and I can't wait to get shod of them...Lol! Have an absolutely wonderful New Year! And a very very Happy New Year to all the wonderful staff, developers, team and great gang of fellow simmers here at Orbx!!! Love the Kamaradary and sense of positive community that's always here amongst friends! Keep up the great work with the new upcoming ventures...from strength to strength...Orbx lives up to it for yet another year running! kind regards, Sid

Kilstorm
Great stuff. Question, how many airports are in the Netherlands and will they be enhanced airports like those found in regions or will those be HD like the individuals aiports as part of this photoreal region? andiflyit
Hi John, this is exactly what I want for Aerofly FS2. And for this sim no watermasks and seasons are needed. How will you make this for the other sims? Cut all the watermasks out? oh oh ... Seems that we will have parts of the real world in the sims somewhere in the future! Happy new year, Andreas
maxkillers
Lmao, 30gb MINIMUM... I'M SO GLAD I BOUGHT MY 1TB SSD!!! Is it going to be the same price as the other regions, $56Aud?

Orbx Flyer
Interesting post. I would think that if this is a full photo-real project, the best implementation of it, WOULD be inside AF2, being that it has the latest and hottest graphics engine, and will give the best performance clarity/FPS for anybody's system configs. So, that being, and having it on my system, I think I will purchase the Netherlands on AF2. Seems the best bang-for-the-buck. Glad to read that this is happening! Great news... Albert van der Heide
John, Great news for this Virtual Flying Dutchman. I will use these sceneries for P3D, X-PLANE and FS2. Replacing my NL2000 for P3D and Orthro4XP and W2XP for X-plane. and can start fun flying in VR over my home in Amsterdam in FS2. I prefer X-plane 11 because I can make a lot of 3D scenery visible in my Dutch VFR flights with the mandatory ceiling height of 1500 feet. From the published foto’s FS2 has the same potential. I only miss the navy in Den Helder or any other ship or boat in the water. Wil this typical dutch feature be included in this wet scnenery? Just an of topic question, are you considering of making EU England and Germany available for X-plane as well? I like to make my 100 dollar VFR flights to these regions. Great news, A happy new year and keep up doing a great job. Kind regards Albert
wolfko
When talks about Project A started here in the forum I was very skeptical about Aerofly FS2. But a few days ago I have completely changed my mind. Currently FS2 is my favourite sim which I have exclusively flown for the past week. So I really look forward to NL for FS2. NoLonger
Looking great! I am still in doubt for which sim I will buy it. After flying for half a year or so only in Aerofly FS 2 I really started to miss a weather system and 'serious' planes and ATC and everything else that makes a sim a SIM so I went back to P3D but well... I expect this scenery to run a LOT better in Aerofly FS 2 than it does in P3D LOL so... it's hard. I prefer P3D for absolutely everything apart from the performance. (For my regular flights above FTX Norway in the Majestic Q400 P3D performs perfectly fine.) But apart from all that: this is looking absolutely great!
