OOM Diversion to Snohomish

First I went to either Israel's farm or Walter Sutton to look around.  I wanted to make a flight between the two.

But VAS got in the way.  I took off and headed north and the VAS meter was climbing higher and higher.

So before it could OOM I made a hasty landing at KPAE, Snohomish and at least I was pleased to see a USAF BUFF.

Now that is a way of navigation even professional pilots can´t do better.

And your sights were also quite professional. Orbx training works.

Wonderful shots Jack. Great scenery by orbx. Well done my friend. Next time fly that insect looking thing upside down and mow the lawn.:D

Thanks Karl, I posted some of that ceiling fan, but despite my best efforts I simply cannot control it inverted close to the ground, sigh...

Thanks Gerold!  This is why I love Orbx stuff and all the kind folks here.

At least you had some nice chimes playing in the background on this fabulous trip you took today .:(:D

Cheers

John

Thanks John but I didn't.  I use the now, no longer able to download, free Matt Davies VAS monitor.  It gives you a bar in a window that floats on your screen and it will have a number like 86% used, then it'll go from green to yellow and then red.  And instead of the chimes you get a woman's voice saying "Danger, low VAS" or something like that.  When I saw it way up in the yellow and the number climbing higher and I still had 150 miles to go, I knew I had to land.

Excellent set Jack and a great way to see the airport scenery by running around in the PA-24.

Better way to warm your engine up than just sitting stationary waiting for the needle to rise.

The clarity of your scenery once airborne is spot on.

He was worried a little by the chimes John but was very afraid of the pending death knell:huh::o:ph34r:

Seems to be a good tool. Now let me know if it is

- more negative to lose the woman´s voice when flying p3dv4 or if it is

- an advantage not having your wife knocking at the door to find out which lady you have over visiting?

  She knows but sometimes while driving I hear the wife saying, "Danger, low memory!"

Thanks Martyn, yeah, I love this plane, A2A has nailed it.  And you really do have to warm it up too.
