And a HUGE thank you to whoever created the free Scenery Config Editor for FSX & P3D!  It is now saving me so much VAS.  I never went below 50% in the VAS monitor.  Amazing!

These shotz are super cool Jack! What's the way to use the Config Editor?

Thanks Erik! See this thread I started, it's free, easy to use, and unloads whatever scenery you don't want to use on a particular flight hence saving resources, besides, the sim loads in a flash!

Excellent shots from your flight Jack.

Beautiful desert scenery and a very picturesque destination.

Thanks Martyn!  It reminded me of O for some reason with all the red.  Where I live, if you dig down a centimeter this is what you'd see, red clay.

Thanks Scott!  It's dialed in nicely now that I have control over VAS.  It's like a whole new sim.  And Adam's PTA preset really helps make it more life-like.

Very intersting flight!!!

Thanks Jury, I look at my wall map and decide to fly to a pair of Orbx airports.  When I'm done I draw a line on the laminate map with a china marker.  Lots more to come from other areas.

A fine idea for a trip, and some truly lovely shots Jack. I'm coming to the end of a bunch of other bits of work around here and am looking forward to some serious flights again soon, and these shots are making me itchy!

Interesting to read your other thread and the comments here about SCE as well. I use it, but just for ease of editing the scenery file, and haven't played with it in this context yet, but I think I will do so once I'm up and running again. So thanks for that, too.

Thanks Andy.  Hope you get to fly soon as this is a beautiful part of the world to see.

Yes, that SCE has really changed my flight simming dramatically.
